3.3. Articulated Prepositions

Articulated prepositions are the contractions of certain prepositions with definite articles.

Articulated prepositions are optional in Neolatin. In fact, some users do not recommend using articulated prepositions precisely because they can vary among individuals. Therefore, a good recommendation is to use only the base forms in writing (ex: ad lo), only pronouncing other forms in oral speech.

Neolatin presents articulated prepositions for the following simple prepositions:

  • Ad (to / at)
  • De (From)
  • Da (From)
  • En (In)
