In Neolatin, there is no such thing as an equivalent to the English word “it” (dummy pronoun) in impersonal expressions.

Some speakers of Brazilian Portuguese tend to use subject pronouns for inanimate objects or abstract concepts in a way that other languages would normally only use for human subjects. For example, "O que é a ética e por que ela é importante". Please avoid this practice.
